Project Overview

The client wanted a kitchen that merged rustic warmth with modern convenience—a welcoming space for family gatherings, baking weekends, and daily use. We opened up the layout, introduced natural textures, and added custom features that elevate both aesthetics and function.

The remodeled kitchen now spans 280 sq. ft. with an open-concept layout that flows into the dining and living areas.

Key Features of the Remodel

• Shiplap Accent Walls: Added classic farmhouse character with white shiplap behind floating shelves and around the island base.

• Oversized Quartz Island: Installed a 10-foot center island with waterfall-edge quartz countertops and built-in seating for 5.

• Two-Tone Cabinetry: Upper cabinets in matte white and lower cabinets in deep navy blue with brushed brass hardware for contrast.

• Apron-Front Sink: Included a white fireclay farmhouse sink paired with a matte black pull-down faucet.

• Upgraded Lighting: Added black industrial-style pendant lights and LED under-cabinet strips for task lighting.

Challenges & Solutions

The old kitchen had minimal natural light and a low ceiling. To resolve this, we removed a partition wall and installed recessed lighting and larger casement windows, dramatically improving the feel and function of the space.
